A member asked:

Hi i had an endometrial ablation almost a year ago. i havent had any bleeding but recently i start have bad cramps again in thighs and back and abdominal cramping. is this normal?

See your GYN physician for an exam and possible further testing (transvaginal ultrasound). If these symptoms are similar to prior to the ablation, they may be caused by adenomyosis (an infiltration of uterine wall with endometrial tissue inaccessible to the ablation procedure, a form of "endometriosis"), which is treated with oral bcp's to stop ovarian estrogen excess production at age "40".
