Ive been on depo provera for at least 5-6 yrs and i was wondering if it was normal to have bleeding and lower abdominal pain? happens around when my next shot is due but this time the pain is located on the lower right side. im not sexually active?

Pelvic pain and vaginal bleeding are not uncommon before the next provera shot; however, if the current pain seems different in location then you should monitor it closely. Go to your doctor or urgent care if you have fever or any other symptom such as nausea, vomit, constipation, etc. Good luck.
