A member asked:

Swollen lump on clavicle. ct with no contrast noted it wasnt a lymph node. a few reactive lymph nodes but no concern for cancer. can ct really tell if a lump is lymph node or not? im scared of cancer. 20yrs old & pregnant as well?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

CT scans can show lymph nodes. Avoid x-rays or anymore CT scans during pregnancy. MRIs have no radiation. If the lump is on the clavicle and is bony hard, have an orthopedic specialist or a thoracic surgeon examine it and advise you. If it's a soft lump a dermatologist can advise you.
