Butt crack. redness, sitting pain, redness. shaving didn't help. no wound present but had multiple minor skin tears months ago different locations. not at anus (hole). gets worse during day. ok after sleeping. what could it be? how to talk to gp?

Could be either infection, allergy, or inflammation of hair follicles. See dermatologist for evaluation and treatment. Might also help if you were able to get pics when problem is at its worst.
