Fiber: Increase fiber. Breads, grains, potatoes, fresh fruits and plenty of water. The goal is to reduce constipation and fiber and water are needed for this.

30g fiber daily: For both hemorrhoids and diverticulosis it is recommended that you consume 30grams of fiber daily. It would be best if this came from 5 healthy servings of fruits and vegetables a day and a high fiber / low sugar breakfast cereal. If that doesn't seem realistic for your lifestyle, you might want to consider getting an over the counter fiber supplement -- look for psyllium as the main ingredient.

High fiber and water: Hemorrhoid disease or "piles" is a condition caused by hard or heavy stool. This is because of the unhealthy 'american diet'. Our colons and rectums are rebelling! the human body, as we see it, was developed about 30, 000 years ago. What did we eat then? Roots, berries, plants, lean meats. What do we eat now? Things in a box, package or drive through window! try eating like a cave man!
