Rectal burning or itching typically indicates infection of some sort. Sexually transmitted infections, parasites, yeast and normal bacterial overgrowth can result in these symptoms. the first place to start would be with your regular Dr for an exam and stool culture. Anal itching is a common problem and can be secondary to things as simple as excess moisture in the region to local allergies, to hemmorhoids. Other causes can be intestinal parasites that emerge- you can do a "scotch tape" test to check for worms. But most likely it is idiopathic or from moisture. Cutting down on coffee is said to help. If it is hemmorhoid related, try prep H.
