My doctor ordered a brain mri with stealth guidance w/wo contrast & pituitary protocol for surgery of an adenoma. should i get it as a 3t or 1.5t ? which is better for this? he left it up to me?

The 3 Tesla has higher resolution and can pick up small lesions which may be missed by the 1.5 Tesla. Better detail of the pituitary area can be seen with 3T. But there may be a higher expense to do the 3T vs. the !.5T and would check with insurance coverage.
