First, it sounds like your friend's herpes doesn't include oral infection; even kissing or oral sex with that person would carry little or no risk. Second, even if that person has oral herpes, the virus is rarely if ever transmitted by sharing drinking glasses, eating utensils, etc. For both reasons, you are at no risk at all.
