How long after exposure to strep does it take your body to feel its symptoms?

Depends on You & exp: Group a strep is variable in its effect.During the year there are strep carriers around (5+/-%) who seem never to get sick but can pass it on.Asymptomatic carriage in winter is higher.If u are susceptable (we can't be sure who) then u probably become sick within 3 days. U have 9-10 days to rx & stop most bad effects on kids.Simple office tests can confirm a sore throat is really strep & not viral.

Up to a week: As soon as a day, as long as a week can be the incubation period.

3-5 days: It varies based on the individual, but my experience has been that the typical kid starts to have a sore throat by monday or tuesday after the friday or saturday slumber party, and that mom or dad comes in by friday. Also, not everybody gets a sore throat. You can have a sore throat, sinus pain or ear pain with strep. Fever is not always present. And not everyone gets sick with strep, either.
