Difficult to tell: The two are likely unrelated, but without a full history and physical exam and possible testing the only thing to do is to go back to the doctor who prescribed the Bactrim (sulfamethoxazole and trimethoprim) and discuss with them. In any event the pain in the leg should be looked at to make sure you have not developed thrombophlebitis with a clot in a deep vein. Please go and be seen and hope you are better soon.
