I just started my period yesterday. i took my first birth control pill yesterday as well. my cramps are terrible. if i take advil, will it interfere with the birth control pills, and not work correctly?

Advil does not interfere with the birth control effect. Acetominophen (Tylenol) can also be taken at the same time as the Advil and the combined effect is of great benefit for menstrual cramps. In the furture, if you know what day you are going to get cramps start 2-3 advil with 2 ExTylenol with each meal on the day before and continue through. It will make things less painful when the cramps come
