Wbc: 4.14 poikilocytosis: 1+ nrbcs: abnormal absolute lymphs: 1.41 absolute monos: .25 these are my recent cbc results. im anemic, but wondering if theres cause for concern. will hear from dr next week, but nurse wants to refer out to specialist?

WBC, absolute lymphocyte and monocyte counts are not important in interpreting a blood smear with poikilocytosis. If anemia is severe, nucleated red cells (NRBCs) and poikilocytosis are common. There is nothing urgent by these numbers so you should patiently wait for next week's visit. Good luck.
