A member asked:

What does atypical squamous cells of undetermined significance mean? is it a wait a year and repeat if you just completed breast cancer treatment?

The name of this Pap smear abnormality -- abbreviated ASCUS -- says it all: slightly abnormal cells whose meaning is not known. The usual advice is exactly what you may have been told: repeat Pap smear in a year. Whether or not someone has been on cancer treatment would not usually make any difference. Discuss with the doctor who did the pap, presumably a gynecologist. Good luck.
