Any direct contact with the fluids of the worker may pass an infection.Condoms are helpful but not totally protective for all STI's.

sex workers have a high incidence of having STDs and you can get any of those even if you wear a condom= for condoms are not fool proof and have a failure rate. Best is to avoid such encounters.
