A member asked:

Are hpv shots and bloodwork in genral needed and i havent gotten my hpv or gardsel shots will i need them and i've never gotten bloodwork?

Bloodwork is seldom taken in routine exams in childhood where growth and development show the health of the system. In adulthood, growth has finished and bloodwork is often taken to look for system issues. HPV vaccines are a good way to reduce lifetime risk of several cancers. They are covered by most insurers from age 9-26. I recommend them.

You should get all vaccinations as advised by your doc- generally it is a good idea to get them. Blood work should be decided by your doc.
