Does long covid actually exist? with such vague symptoms and no objective measures to diagnose, i am curious other doctors thoughts on this. an analogy to me is the so called chronic lyme?

Your question is legitimate. It is still too early to arrive at a definite conclusion at this time regarding long covid syndrome although many papers have addressed this syndrome. Because long covid syndrome mostly happens to patients with severe covid-19 infection so we could not rule out the psychosomatic effect of this disease. You are also correct about chronic lyme disease.
