Depends on the: It depends on what type of vasculitis but as a general rule Prednisone is often used but other medications are often used as a while. For the most one tries to achieve remission as opposed to cure. Please post more detail so that we can better eleaborate.

Possibly: There are numerous subtypes of vasculitis. Some are very serious and some are short term issues secondary to problems such as viral infection, drug reactions or allergies. Vasculitic problems are usually treated with Prednisone initially. Depending on the specific diagnosis, other meds may be necessary.
