Scarlatina is one form of strep infection where the strep germ creates a special toxin that triggers this specific faint red rash. The added features will fade when the germ is killed by meds. The rash areas may peal like a sunburn. The added features are inconvenient but does not indicate a more serious outcome as long as proper meds are taken.
