I got a small varicocele after a vasectomy. after 10 years, strenuous exercise now triggers mild pain. i can almost keep living with it, and i am concerned that i could get more varicoceles. how many veins can be ligated before my scrotum atrophies?

Vasectomy is just cutting the duct taking sperms from testes to ward outside. Varicocele is the dilatation of the veins accompanying it. i Vasectomy does not cause varicocele neither does ligation of veins cause atrophy of testicle( ligation of the artery does). Pain is sometimes a side effect of vasectomy. Hope this explains things. Pl see your Urologist for management. Good luck
