Low grade fever for 3 wks+, crp=46, esr=93 and iron deficient. ent clear. dry/wet cough, no wheeze cxr shows vague density on lower left side. dr isn't sure but prescribed broad spectrum antibiotics, we await paed referral but looking for opinion pls?

Blood cultures negative? ?results of sputum culture. Results of WBC? May not be bacterial infection. Have you been tested for covid? For viral pneumonia which I suspect? For true influenza? For legionella? Your chest X-Ray is suspicious for bronchopneumonia. ?include azithromycin with broad spectrum antibiotics. ?Add Antiviral meds. Pulmonology consultation pending?
