PrEP protects against HIV2. Because HIV2 is so rare, it has not specifically been studied, and therefore official directions for PrEP in the US (per FDA) states it works for HIV1. That doesn't mean it isn't effective against HIV2, and the drugs used for PrEP are fully active against HIV2. You are fully protected. Don't worry about it.
