Have you returned to the dentist who had the dentures made for you? That dentist would hopefully be able to get them adjusted so they fit better. So, return to the dentist who had the dentures made for you so they can be adjusted and you can be more comfortable. Good luck!

You'll need to have your dentist evaluate the issues you described. Is this the first set for you, or do they replace an older set? If the older set was comfortable, have your dentist compare the two for differences in tooth position and vertical dimension. If it is your first set ever, then you may just need some time to get accustomed to them.

Adjustment of your denture(s) is part of the denture fitting process. Call your Dentist to schedule a denture adjustment appointment. In the meantime take 1 200mg Advil/Motrin/Ibuprofen or 2 325mg Aspirin/Bufferin every 4 hours w 8oz water. Dab OTC Orabase or Orajel with Benzocaine onto sore spot w a Q-tip.
