4 the past week when i stand up my heart rate increases dramatically and i'm immediately short of breath. my right ear makes a noise when i burp or lay on that side.and now today i have noticed my chest is getting tight.could this be pneumonia?

Although not clearly due to pneumonia, A dramatic rise in heart rate and shortness of breath certainly warrants seeking urgent medical attention. I would see your primary care doctor or go to an urgent care or emergency room. Good luck.
