A member asked:

Hi, quick question. i have my first consultation with a proctologist in a month. should i try to abstain from using fluocortolone before the visit so it does not mask symptoms and interfere with diagnosis? anal fistula suspected?

You should continue the medicine if it is effective. Take care and good luck with your appointment.

No, if you are on a medication which seems to be helping, you should continue it until your appointment with the proctologist or until the original prescribing doctor feels you should stop it. Good luck.
