A member asked:

How long does it take for sinus drainage to dry up after taking a steroid shot?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

If the sinus is infected, a steroid injection alone isn't effective as a course of appropriate antibiotics would be needed. The steroid reduces inflammation only. Inflammatory processes in nasal& paranasal sinus linings should start to improve within 2 or 3 days of receiving a steroid injection.
