The lifespan of T-cell lymphocytes can range from a few days to several years. Some T-cells, known as effector cells, have a short lifespan and are designed to respond quickly to infections. Other T-cells, known as memory cells, have a longer lifespan and can provide long-term immunity against specific pathogens.
