No, UU is not known to be transmitted other than by sex. It's a normal bacteria in the genital tract, however; it rarely causes disease or symptoms, especially in women. Usually it doesn't need to be treated. (The US CDC and other STD experts advise that UU testing be eliminated from routine STD test panels. Positive results cause too much confusion both for patients and doctors.)
