When you finish you second packet or box as you called it, you can stop however you will not have any birth control protection. If you want birth control protection, it would be best to continue birth control pills and seek other treatment for your acne. Or if you want to switch to another birth control pill you can just start it on the day you would normally start a new packet of Yaz.

In theory, Yaz should help with acne, but it sounds like you were previously on Diane (which has a stronger effect) so you are seeing a rebound effect from the switch. That should stabilize as time goes on but perhaps not at an acceptable level, and it sounds like you need to look into other management options for your acne.
