No, that isn't known to happen. However, the virus can be transmitted to the baby during vaginal delivery. Usually this results in no significant health problem, but on rare occasions result in respiratory papillomatosis -- warts of the vocal cords, trachea, etc. Warts therefore should be treated when present in pregnant women, who should discuss with their obstetricians.
