Turbinate reduction the surgical reducunction of the turbinates, which are structures inside the nose that help filter and humidify the air we breathe. The procedure is typically performed to alleviate symptoms of nasal obstruction, congestion, and difficulty breathing. There is currently no evidence that turbinate reduction surgery has any impact on life expectancy or lung function.
