According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), getting two doses of the HPV vaccine can provide strong protection against HPV-related cancers and diseases. The CDC recommends that individuals receive their first dose of the vaccine at age 11 or 12, and a second dose six to twelve months later. But after age 15, they will need three doses of the vaccine for full protection.
