You can do an oil treatment, insinuating the coconut oil into the scalp followed by a warm wrap. This can plump up old cells with the oil and help them separate from the scalp when you wash the material out. I would wash it out with a good dandruff shampoo to get all the oil off. Leave some behind and it can make things worse.
