That could be an early symptom of shingles and if it is the case, vesicular rashes will appear in that area in the next 24-48 hours. If this symptom has occurred off and on in the past, cervical radiculopathy could be the cause. At times, we do not have an answer and symptom often is transient and I hope that is your case.
