Painful breastfeeding.difficult to latch baby on breast.only latching on the nipple. im trying very hard to latch baby properly.all ends in failure.still feeding with painful nipple.what to do?is it ok to feed with painful nippele?

There are many reasons why nipple may be painful, most commonly baby is latching to your nipple not your areola. Aim your nipple towards the top of baby's mouth. Baby's chin should touch your breast and he should take a large part of the areaola into his mouth. Please reach out to a lactation consultant or baby's doctor to assess this problem in the best way. They can also check for other reason
