Can you test positive for m. hominis vaginally, but not have it cause vulvovaginitis? is it possible for it to stay dormant?

Certainly : M. Hominis is very commonly found in the genital flora of sexually experienced males and females. It can cause an infection by itself, but much rarer as compared to other infections. When it does cause an infection it usually does so in the presence of another more virulent infection.
