If your birth control method is using low dose oral birth control pills, the start of the placebo week (the pills with no hormones) will cause light bleeding which is expected when stopping the "active" pills. Remember to take the active pills within the same hour of the prior day's active pill to prevent "breakthrough" bleeding while on the active pills.
