I caught two stomach viruses two weeks apart. threw up violently during the second one. shortly after that i slowly started to develop gerd symptoms. i now have reflux esophagitis, via endoscopy. is there a connection? i never had problems before?

You might have had the GERD and esophagits that was silent before the viruses. Silent means that it had no symptoms. The violent vomiting would really irritate it though and probably why you began to have symptoms and got it checked out. That would likely be the only connection.
