My middle fingertip is swollen, red, stiff, warm and pulsating. my dermatologist prescribed me clindamycinphosphat to treat my finger infection. i read the package and this gel is for acne. can this really help my finger?

This may be a paronychia. The gel may help, but I recommend hot ( not boiling) water soaks off& on. If redness,swelling,pain,tenderness don't improve, and if this is a paronychia, a surgeon should evaluate you to determine whether the nail has to be elevated to let out pus.
