A member asked:

I have bilateral avascular necrosis of the femur heads and some times the pain is pretty intense and causes full body tremors for 5-10min at a time. is it normal for severe pain to cause body shaking/tremors?

Intense pain can certainly cause shaking & tremors. Various hormones are released during severe pain causing fear & tremors.

Severe intense pain triggers the autonomic nervous system to release multiple neurotransmitters with activation and exaggeration of our normal physiological tremors. So, this is far from unusual. Can an orthopedic surgeon help your hip issues?
