Do chronic migraines affect your immune system on top of your nervous system?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Basically, migraine is a genetic disorder resulting in exaggerated triggering of brain glutamate, followed by a cascade of chemical changes, especially substance P and CGRP. This is not classified as an autoimmune disorder and has no effect on systemic immune reactions.
