A member asked:

Hii im on yaz birth control pill and i have severe lactose intolerance. and yaz pills contains lactose monohybrid. is it okay for me to use or can i change with another pill??

A doctor has provided 1 answer

The amount of lactose in the pill would rarely if ever be enough to trigger any symptoms of lactose intolerance. Those symptoms are based on germs digesting that sugar and producing gas and acid in the process. The tiny amount is not enough that I would make a change. You are already consuming other foods that germs do the same thing with.
