Estradiol hrt (oral, injected, gel and patch) cause a burning sensation on my scalp. severity seems to be dose dependent, but even very low doses are now bothersome. no visible signs of irritation. what might this reaction be?

It is a very unusual side effect of estradiol so I wonder if it is truly related. It is not risky to stop this replacement therapy for a month or so and see if that symptom goes away. If it's a true side effect, your doctor can figure another way to help you. By the way, what is the indication of estrogen replacement? Take care.
