"Clumpy" discharge plus itching suggest yeast infection (thrush), which can be triggered by Metrogel. Ideally see a doctor. But it would probably be safe to first try a product for yeast infection with active ingredient ending in "azole" (clotrimazole, miconazole, etc). Or single dose oral fluconazole. A pharmacist can help. Get care in person if that doesn't clear it up in a few days. Good luck.
