Bipolar I-within the highs and lows in mood, history includes a manic episode. Manic episode features include elevated mood, rapid speech, poor judgement, irritability, grandiosity and reduced need for sleep. Bipolar II requires hypomanic episode(s) without a full manic episode. The symptoms are the same as in a manic episode, however the duration and intensity of them is less.
