Many kids and adults have arm and leg movement during sleep. It's a condition called "periodic limb movement disorder". The cause is unknown and it is not harmful. It can come and go. Working on good sleep habits is thought to help. If the movements are waking up the child or you want other options, talk to your pediatrician and consider a referral to a pediatric neurologist.
