I read that gum disease increases cancer risk. if you start improving your oral health, does that reduce the cancer risk associated with it?

Chronic gingival disease is associated with systemic disease, cardiovascular disease. Leading causes of oral cancer are HPV, smoking, and alcohol. All of which make the gingival disease worse. Get those little brushes from a pharmacy to clean between your teeth. Do it everyday. easier than flossing

Increased cancer risk. 24% increase in the relative risk of developing cancer among participants with severe periodontitis, compared to those with mild to no periodontitis. The highest risk was observed in cases of lung cancer, followed by colorectal cancer. ref: https://www.hopkinsmedicine.org/news/newsroom/news-releases/more-evidence-of-link-between-severe-gum-disease-and-cancer-risk#
