Are fatal cases of nose piercing infections rare ?

Have never heard of such a case, and if this were common, we would have 10s of thousands of deaths in the USA. Would suppose if the piercing caused an infection with a spreading cellulitis, theoretically, a cavernous sinus stenosis could occur, but this has yet to happen.
