Taking amoxicillin500 mg instructions 1 capsule 3 times a day as directed for 10 days ive been taking the medication around 4 hrs apart depending when i wake. pamphlet states should be at least 8-12 hrs in between. how can that work? any risk?

Three times a day would be every eight hours (24/3=8). The pamphlet states 8 hours apart.

The idea is to spread it as much as possible during the day (non sleeping hours) so that a minimal concentration level is consistently maintained. Taking 3 doses over 8h would allow for a too long period of not taking (16h) and the level may fall in the under therapeutic range.
