According to Pfizer, the manufacturer of Depo-Provera (medroxyprogesterone), "Vials MUST be stored upright at controlled room temperature 20° to 25°C (68° to 77°F)." Storing medications at temperatures greater than recommended can result in decreasing the effectiveness of the medication or altering the chemical composition.
