A member asked:

If snow lands on your forehead and head will you catch a cold or is it a myth?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Colds acquired the name partly because they are more common in the cold season when people stay inside & are closer together in stores/home/events. Colds are caused by germs (viruses) that spread more when people are closer together, breathing on each other. Snow on you head does nothin but make the site cold. There is an indirect link as explained earlier, but a direct link is a myth.
